Our Agricultural Company

The La Pieve farm is dedicated to the cultivation of land and the production of food to provide fresh, high quality produce to all guests and consumers in search of that most authentic rural authenticity.

Our family has always dedicated itself with love and passion to rural life and to working the land to grow vegetables. Knowledge and traditions have been handed down to this day, allowing us to maintain a strong connection with the land and to enhance local peculiarities.

A love for the land and nature is the secret of our work: we dedicate time and energy to caring for the soil, using sustainable techniques and organic and natural methods to preserve the environment and eliminate the use of pesticides and chemical fertilisers.

In 2015, when Erica became the owner of the farm and started managing it together with her boyfriend Alessandro, the agricultural part of the farm was increased, always focusing on natural cultivation and laying the foundations of what is now known throughout the territory as Azienda Agricola La Pieve.

Our hazel groves

We have created two new hazelnut groves, with a total of 1,000 plants, and, since 2013, we have been planting and cultivating IGP Piedmont Hazelnuts (Protected Geographical Indication), according to strict production standards. We produce roasted hazelnuts and use the hazelnuts in our dishes and in the production of tasty pastries and sweet creams. To date, our hazelnut groves are in organic conversion.

Our Orchards

We have created a new orchard where we grow peaches, apricots and plums. The harvested fruit is partly eaten and partly washed, peeled and cut into pieces before being slowly cooked with sugar to create a soft, sweet texture that gives life to our delicious sweet jams with their intense, authentic flavour.

Our Greenhouse

We have enlarged our greenhouse dedicated to summer-autumn crops above all, to increase the production of seasonal vegetables such as tomatoes, courgettes, potatoes, green beans and spinach 100% KM 0 that we bring to the table every day at our Agriturismo. During the summer, our farm produces the Cuore di Bue tomato preserve, a delight for every palate.

Our Vineyards

In 2017 we enlarged the winery's wine production: we replanted a new vineyard adjacent to the estate and a new vineyard in Clavesana, to produce Dolcetto, Nebbiolo and Chardonnay. In addition to Dogliani DOCG, we produce Nebbiolo, Nascetta and Rosato di Nebbiolo. All our vineyards are cultivated naturally and worked by hand, with the utmost respect for the Earth and with total care and attention for each vine.
